If there’s one positive change I can truly say has transformed my life, it is this, I have learned, and continue to practice, the art of patience.

It didn’t happen overnight. In fact, it came from moments of frustration, disappointment, and emotional exhaustion. There were times when I wanted answers instantly, solutions immediately, and happiness without delay. But life, as I’ve learned, doesn’t work on urgency, it unfolds in its own time.

Over the years, I’ve realized something incredibly powerful: nothing is permanent.

Not the bad days.
Not the failures.
Not the heartbreaks.
Not even the phases that make you feel like everything is falling apart.

Every difficult moment carries within it an expiry date.

This understanding slowly changed my perspective. Instead of reacting impulsively or feeling overwhelmed by temporary setbacks, I began to pause. I started reminding myself, this too shall pass. And it always does.

Patience taught me to sit with my emotions instead of fighting them. It taught me to trust the process, even when I couldn’t see the outcome. It helped me become calmer, more grounded, and far more resilient than I ever thought I could be.

There was a time when sadness felt endless. But today, I know better. There is no sadness that lasts forever. No storm that doesn’t eventually quiet down. And no phase that doesn’t reach its conclusion.

So why rush through life with anxiety and fear, when we can move through it with patience and hope?

Now, I consciously choose to look at the positive side of things. Not because life is perfect, but because I understand that even imperfection is temporary. Every challenge carries a lesson, and every ending makes space for a new beginning.

Patience has not only changed how I deal with situations, but also how I see life itself. It has given me strength during my weakest moments and clarity during confusion.

If there’s one thing I would tell anyone struggling through a tough time, it would be this:

Be patient.

Because no matter how heavy the moment feels right now, it will pass. And when it does, you’ll realize that your strength was quietly growing in the waiting.

And sometimes, the most beautiful transformations happen not in action, but in patience.
