There are days when devotion isn’t learned, it awakens.

Today is Rath Yatra, and somewhere deep within me, I feel an invisible pull. A call I cannot explain, yet cannot ignore. It is as if my heart recognizes a presence my eyes cannot always see.

Why does the Lord of the Universe leave His sanctum and step onto the streets? Perhaps because not every soul finds its way to the temple. Sometimes, God chooses to come to those who are waiting, searching, doubting, or simply longing.

Jagannath does not ask who you are, what you’ve achieved, or how perfect your faith is. His gaze seems to say only one thing: Come.

And somehow, that is enough.

There is a mystery in his enormous eyes. They seem to look beyond our masks, beyond our fears, beyond the stories we tell ourselves. In that gaze, we are not measured, we are received.

Today, as his chariot rolls forward, I am reminded that faith is not always loud. Sometimes it is just this quiet, irresistible longing to be closer to something infinitely greater than ourselves.

Perhaps that is devotion.

An invisible thread between the soul and the Lord of the Universe.

A pull that asks for nothing, yet changes everything.

Some call Him Jagannath—the Lord of the Universe. To me, he is the one whose presence turns chaos into calm.

With those enormous, mesmerizing eyes, He seems to look beyond every fear, every tear, every silent prayer I’ve never spoken aloud. Somehow, He always knows. And somehow, He always comes.

Rath Yatra is not just a festival of grand chariots. It is a beautiful reminder that the Lord does not wait for his devotees to find him, he steps out of his temple and comes to meet them. He comes closer to every heart that longs for him, no matter where they are.

There have been moments when I stood in darkness, unsure of what lay ahead. Yet every time I looked towards him, I found hope. Every time his eyes met mine, my worries became smaller, my heart grew lighter, and the impossible somehow found a way to unfold.

People often ask what faith feels like.

For me, it feels like this invisible pull towards him. A bond I cannot explain, only experience.

Perhaps that is his greatest miracle, not that he changes the world around me, but that he changes the world within me.

Jai Jagannath. May the Lord of the Universe guide every wandering soul home. 🙏✨
